Today is back to rain, so we’ll rewind a couple days to the transition when the frost still painted the branches and the fog only traveled the surface of the river from its source at the Falls.

About sherijkennedyriverside
Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. Reaching inward and venturing outward as the Snoqualmie River flows onward past my doorstep and life runs freely through my being, I set pen to page to share what I perceive.
Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountain foothills town of North Bend, Washington USA. Her heart has found its home.
I like your title and photo Sheri. I do see “breathing space” in your image; seemingly a constant battle for nature as it is for us all.
So glad it captures the feeling for you. Thanks so much!
What beautiful light!
Yes, it was unique because most of the Valley was in sunshine, but this fog was actually mist from Snoqualmie Falls. It was only traveling the path of the river fairly near the falls. The sun penetrated but only by the hightened, dispersed light level. It was glowing mist, and the temperatures hovering near freezing kept the plants sugared with frost. Beautiful light indeed!
