About sherijkennedyriverside

Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. Reaching inward and venturing outward as the Snoqualmie River flows onward past my doorstep and life runs freely through my being, I set pen to page to share what I perceive. Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountain foothills town of North Bend, Washington USA. Her heart has found its home.

  1. They look like a happy couple. Beautiful and tranquil picture, Sheri!

    • I can count on seeing this little flock any time I take a walk. They live at the lake, but I especially love finding some individuals together in the shallow canal. They always seem to be enjoying it there and it’s fun to spy on them from the walking path above.

Yes I bet. I love the geese and ducks when I take my dogs for a walk at one of our local parks. They are so much fun to watch. I especially love it when the little ones are in tow, and the dogs are just mesmerized.

      • Yeah, I can’t wait for the ducklings and goslings in the spring. It’s especially fun when they sail by on the river. Hard to believe the little fuzzballs can deal with the current, but they bob right on through the rapids.

Oh, I can’t wait to see the pictures! I am so jealous of where you live!!!!

    • I’ll do my best to capture some photos of them…It’s not easy! Often by the time I’m close enough to get pics they are past the spot to get good ones. Also, I try not to upset the mother’s, so I’ll have to be lucky enough to be outside by the shoreline when they happen to come by. Sometimes it happens, and you can bet I will post them if I can.

  2. Wow! Your mallards up there look identical to our mallards down here……………lol

    Hope all is well.
