Can a fence post be inspiring and full of life? The beauty of these boards inspired me, along with the determination of the ivy, lichen and moss to find their home here.

And of course there’s the character of the wood itself that shows the knots left by branches from its life before.

About sherijkennedyriverside
Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. Reaching inward and venturing outward as the Snoqualmie River flows onward past my doorstep and life runs freely through my being, I set pen to page to share what I perceive.
Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountain foothills town of North Bend, Washington USA. Her heart has found its home.
I see the beauty and the life!
Nice! It’s always amazing to me how our plentiful rain makes life so abundant and green here.
Yes, you are lucky. I always pray for rain just before fall for the foliage as well. Rain is one of my favorite things, most people find it an annoyance, I find it mesmerizing and peaceful. I see the life that you speak of in rain.
Yes, although sometimes I have to get creative to find the colors since our rainy days so often become white and grey. But I just look more closely like this day’s view.
