When I got off work last night it was still light outside! My spirit soared! It may seem a small thing, but in a grey climate the light is a saving grace. Though I’m surrounded by the beauty of mountains and rivers, the weight of darkness when the year wanes is a burden. I feel immediate relief at the Winter Solstice, but the day of light after my workday is a new level of liberation. Each evening I will feel it grow and lighten–literally–my heart!
A spectacular view of Mt. Si! It never ceases to amaze me the beauty of the mountain no matter the angle.
