Community

I find myself commenting randomly on other peoples’ blogs about how much it has meant to me to feel community for the first time in my life.  I was a loner in the city, with the exception of my art co-op (and of course, my husband).  I fancied myself cosmopolitan and shied away from community connections.  I am surprised and delighted to find that I thrive in a charming little town with lots of events, and though I don’t have much family beyond my husband and my brother I feel part of the family life here in the Snoqualmie Valley.  As such, this post is a series of links to recent videos and photos from our local summer festivals and events…nature shots weave in as they do in our reality here.  Enjoy and feel the heart of my Valley.

About sherijkennedyriverside

Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night. Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.
