NW Railway Museum – Bringing the Past to the Future

You can see this new page and the slideshow by clicking here.

This slideshow is from a train ride and group party on restored cars to an overlook of the Puget Sound Energy hydroelectric plant project at the top of Snoqualmie Falls.  Then it’s off to the restoration shed to see cars in varied stages of restoration and the equally interesting tools used to work on them.  Many of the tools are from the era of these trains, as our modern tools are no longer made to handle such large wooden beams.  Enjoy this trip back in time and a look at the painstaking handiwork of those committed to this amazing restoration project.

The Snoqualmie Depot shown here is at the heart of our Valley and people come from all over the world to see Snoqualmie Falls and to take a ride at the NW Railway Museum.

About sherijkennedyriverside

Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night. Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.
