Only Human – My Complete Sketchbook Project 2013

With Breathing Space I often focus on nature minus humankind. It was an amazing excursion to journey with my pencils into the world of human emotion in this year’s sketchbook.

‘Laughter’ although not my best drawing, was my favorite in that it surprised me to find that out of hundreds of images President Obama’s caught this emotion in just the way I imagined it. It still makes me smile each time I see it.

So I share it again along with a gallery showing the book from cover to end.

THE SKETCHBOOK PROJECT is a fabulous co-op movement that you can join too. You can see all my previously posted sketchbook pages, including ones from previous years by searching my blog at the bottom of my home page for ‘The Sketchbook Project’.

Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night. Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.
