Breathing Space – February 17/14

I was hoping to move away from the ice and grey and find some color today. There was fresh snow on the top of Mt Si this morning and grey and rain in the valley below, but at the last blush of day the top of the peaks caught an alpine glow, and I got my wish for color, brief but lovely.

About sherijkennedyriverside

Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night. Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.

  1. Beautiful even dark and cold!
    Great job Sheri!

  2. Today, like every other day this year, we had rain. However, most spectacularly the sun was out and there was this straight lie between the half of the sky that was dark grey and the half that looked like summer. A shot of colour really does make the world look happier.

Your pictures are, as ever, stunning.
