Breathing Space – April 10/14

Spring sometimes makes me feel dreamy…I found myself imagining this rhododendron bud as a princess in her ball gown dancing outside her castle (the mountain behind) with shimmering stars all around (he plum blossoms on the branches). Silly…but the scene was beautiful!

Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night. Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.

    • 🙂 I think it was that the scene with the lighting looked too good to be true and made me think of a fairy tale. And the single bud seemed to dance in the center of the scene it gave off such a joyous beauty. I’m not usually a ‘princess’ girl, but it seemed the bud was the belle of the gorgeous natural ball.
