Breathing Space – August 23/14

Breathing Space 8-23-14At last…I made it up to see Mt. Baker this season, and it could not have been a more perfect day. It’s a rare pleasure to see the whole mountain clear of cloud cover. Well worth the wait!

About sherijkennedyriverside

Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night. Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.

Okay, okay, now you’re just ‘showing off’! keep it up, and the whole world (or at least that huge part that follows you) will want to share the beauty that is the Pacific Northwest! sssssshh!’!,

    • Does it help that it’s taken me 8 years of going here to see this view? Usually there are clouds hiding all or almost all of it. And of course it’s often raining. 🙂 I improve my odds of seeing the peaks by going up in August each year, but even so, I have never seen it this clear before. I’ve also never seen it more crowded at the top, so maybe you’re on to something wsj…shhhhh!

no matter how long it took to get there/realize it, you did! as long as they respect the locals and turn off the lights when they leave (on their way to canada, not coming here) I say let them through! and yeah, me, i love me some Pacific Northwest!
