Breathing Space – October 7/14

The funny thing about chasing photos with clouds of mist in them is that you can easily end up on the wrong end of the cloud. Today I went to Millpond thinking the reflection of the gorgeous mantle around the foot of Mt. Si with the sunny blue sky would be spectacular. As I followed the base of the mountain around, I soon found myself in another part of the mist that was at the level of the valley floor. Not quite what I’d traveled to find. But I made the best of my lunchtime photo op and was able to catch this small flock of ducks in the air across the pond and then passing overhead. It was a refreshing tour, and then it was back to sunshine and back to work.

About sherijkennedyriverside

Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night. Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.
