Scene 02-17 First Star I’ve Seen Tonight

It’s rare in this moist climate to have an atmosphere clear enough to see stars in the sunset sky. And this first star was followed by a full blanket of them spread across the inky cold night. Crisp and awe inspiring.

Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night. Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.

  1. As I’m driving home from work last night I turned down our road, which is on the ridge of a hill, and the whole sky was full of the most stunning stars. Then, just to top off the amazing sight a barn owl flew right in front of me. I’d never seen a wild one before.

I love the silhouette and that you can actually see the star.
