Scene 02-25 Cherry Blossoms and Blue Sky

The trees were blooming sparsely but I couldn’t resist capturing the first cherry blossoms against the blue sky.

For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night. Sheri J. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.

  1. I think you’re a little ahead of us with your spring. There’s no blossom yet on the trees I can see from my office desk which I know end up covered in the stuff. Beautiful picture as always.

    • Yes, everyone’s been talking here about how early things are blooming. I noticed my photo of the same magnolia (a couple days ago) last year was taken on April 5th in full bloom. I think those will be fully open by March 5th this year.
We barely had winter at all this year. One light snowfall that didn’t linger, and much warmer and drier overall.

  2. And all week I’ve been have spring fever with our blue sky warm days, and now you show me blossoms!

These are luscious. And it IS really early, isn’t it? I’ve only been here three years, but it seems crazy early compared to the last two. I’ll take it! (And what’s also great is that they’re likely to hang on for while, but in NY, often you have a spell of hot weather after the bloom and it gets destroyed).
