My friends Victoria Bastedo, Casondra Brewster and I (this year’s SnoBoot Sketchcats, along with Tommia Wright who’s not pictured) finished our 2015 Tour books for The Sketchbook Project in time for tomorrow’s postmark deadline. They’ll be on the way to New York, and then they’ll board the traveling art library truck and head back across the country to see us again at the Seattle exhibit this summer. Look for them at a location near you! (More info coming soon.)

I’m looking forward to seeing some of your sketches – maybe it will inspire me to get a proper sketchbook rather than litter the house with scraps of paper.

My ‘proper’ sketchbook seemed an excuse to litter the house with scraps of paper this year. I did it all in collage, so it was quite messy, although since the book was 5×7 I could keep everything in a fairly contained space…Most of the time. I keep finding random tiny cut-out pieces hiding under edges of things. 🙂

The Boyfriend thinks I’m crazy because I cut out pictures of magazines and keep them in a wooden box that once held watercolour tubes. I love collage.
