Scene 12/08 Opposites Attract

DSCN4930This day was so grey that I couldn’t even find something to take a photo of besides the immediate foreground, and since I didn’t want to take a photo of raindrops and puddles, I decided to hit the archives from the last month or so. This richly colored maple caught my eye immediately – so attractive to my color-deprived eyes! This is the total opposite of the real scene today.

About sherijkennedyriverside

Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night. Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.

  1. I tend to do that too. In the grey of winter, I often go back into summer photos looking for warmth and color!

    • It really did make me feel better to see it. You mention ‘looking for warmth’ and I think that’s a big part of it. It’s like if my eyes see the beauty and warm colors then I can feel the energy and warmth both physically and emotionally. We humans are definitely more than meets the eye, or in this case what meets our eye says that we’re more, perhaps? Wow…that got a little complicated. Hopefully you know what I mean. Keeping up our spirits is important. 🙂
