This day was so grey that I couldn’t even find something to take a photo of besides the immediate foreground, and since I didn’t want to take a photo of raindrops and puddles, I decided to hit the archives from the last month or so. This richly colored maple caught my eye immediately – so attractive to my color-deprived eyes! This is the total opposite of the real scene today.

I tend to do that too. In the grey of winter, I often go back into summer photos looking for warmth and color!

It really did make me feel better to see it. You mention ‘looking for warmth’ and I think that’s a big part of it. It’s like if my eyes see the beauty and warm colors then I can feel the energy and warmth both physically and emotionally. We humans are definitely more than meets the eye, or in this case what meets our eye says that we’re more, perhaps? Wow…that got a little complicated. Hopefully you know what I mean. Keeping up our spirits is important. 🙂
