Perfect timing…I went to see Bunny Wailer last night at the Show Box in Seattle and I’m all jazzed up about Music. It was great to see a live reggae show and dance my feet off to some good vibes!
I used to go out dancing to reggae and/or African music 2-3 times a week for several years when I lived in the city, but Bunny Wailer never stopped in Seattle, and I missed him in Portland. He’s the last of the greats that I always wanted to see, and the last surviving member of the iconic Bob Marley and the Wailers. Sadly, I think he’s been forgotten some in this area…the crowd was smaller than we expected.
But his show was awesome and those who came were enthusiastic and positive. I hope you enjoy the few photos I took. I didn’t take many since I wanted to be in the moment and soak in the live music and person to person experience. The sound quality on my one video is bad, so HERE’S A LINK to a youtube video where you can hear some reggae rhythms for yourself.
Happy Day!!!
Thanks Sheri! I love reggae!

I didn’t know that. What fun to find we have that in common. 🙂

Reggae was so popular here in the UK during the late 60’s and all through the 70’s so both my husband and I are reminded of our youth when we listen to it. It’s so good to dance to as well!

I remember it from the 70’s some. I lived in Miami then and it was very popular. Many people from the Caribbean lived there too, and I knew some Jamaicans. I think it may be why I identify with it so much as an adult so many years later. I didn’t have friends who liked it in the 80’s so I went by myself, and then I gained friend who love it too. I love to dance!
