I had a great time at the beach house in Long Beach, WA and a quick stop in Astoria, OR with some of the gals from my writer’s group, SnoValley Writes! And yes, we got a lot of writing done too. As promised, here are more photos from the trip…A photo essay of a wonderful weekend.

Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night.
Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.

Thanks, Winney. 🙂 There was certainly plenty there to feed my artist soul. Thanks for planning such a great place for us to write and be together!

Yes, it felt good to stand on the beach and listen to the birds, wind and waves. It was very open and lonely, which for me is a good muse.

Maybe we should bug TA Henry to set up a retreat for us NaNo to Publish writers. 🙂 That’d be fun too.

🙂 I never did get that full day to hike for spring flowers that you and I talked about, but the beach retreat made up for it! It had been way to long since I’d been to the coast. The weather was shockingly phenomenal.

I can see it was a special time and you certainly took advantage of being there! I’m hoping to get out to the Walla Walla area to look for birds and flowers this weekend. We’ll see what happens…
