The company I work for brought back an event we have organized and presented in the past, and we had another Doggiestock this year. This awesomely fun event is free to our community, and the proceeds benefit a local charity that provides free spay and neuter service for low income families with pets.
I was the first one on site in the morning and one of the last to leave – so helped from set-up through tear down. I took photos at the Smooch a Pooch Canine Kissing Booth for most of the day and then got to relax for a couple hours in the beer garden and soak in the pet costume and owner/pet look alike contest and some music. What a tail-wagger this day was!
(By the way, I’m the one on the left in the funky batik hat and Doggiestock t-shirt in the photo with 3 women.)
Great idea! Looks like folks enjoyed it…and the doggies did too…

Everyone seemed to have a great time, and we were fortunate to get such perfect weather. My photos don’t show the many booths or the attendance. For some reason I isolated things or took shots at times when there weren’t many people in the background. Also, the field was really large and the festival was mostly at the front edge. It looks empty, but lots of people and doggies came to it. I can hardly wait until next year! It will probably be at the beginning of September again, so keep an eye out for it if you’d like to attend.

I can’t remember if you ever pictured one. Do you have a dog or dogs, John? I don’t but I sure love them.

We lost “Holly” (age 16) a year ago. She made several appearances on my blog.

I thought I remembered see a dog. I’m so sorry you lost her, but sounds like she had a good long time to enjoy with you and you with her.
