Snowy Mountains by the Riverside

Somehow nearly a month has slipped by. I’ve been working hard on writing, hoping to have my next novel out by early April. And I’ve been doing more cooking and connecting to home. Our new snowfall in the last few days has reminded me that I never posted more of the snowy images from New Year’s Day. I especially wanted to share these mountain and river images from the far end of my walk. It was such a fresh and lovely start to the year!

About sherijkennedyriverside

Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night. Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.

  1. I was just thinking yesterday that I hadn’t seen a post from you in my in-box lately! I’m glad all is okay 🙂 Best of luck with your novel xx

    • So sorry to be silent, Clare. Sometime other things sweep me away. All the best to you too!

    • Yes feeling well now. I had 7 days of a terrible cold/flu and another 7 before really recovered in January. Now that you mention it, that was what put me off posting and other usual routine pleasures. But I’ve been well and busy for a few weeks now. No worries. I hope you’re well and that Spring comes soon for us all. Snowing again this morning, and I have more pics to post of the very heavy snow we awoke to on Monday morning. I couldn’t post because our Internet access was down while snowed in. They’ll be up soon!

      • Good news Sheri.
Our internet disappears in bad weather too! We also lost ours for the whole week between Christmas and New Year. The joys of living out in the country 😀 Cold and icy here this evening with drizzly snow that is just turning to ice as it settles – not nice!

    • Oh dear, I hope you don’t have to drive in the icy conditions and you and yours stay safe. The snow I showed in the next post melted a fair bit and then froze solid, so it was very icy Tuesday, but fortunately temperatures have risen just enough to thaw the roads. Still plenty of white stuff lingering on the grass and rooftops.

      • Thank-you Sheri! My husband and I have just been looking at it and decided to leave going out in the morning until later when it might have thawed a little! I have just seen your post in my in-box and will have a look at your snowy photos. I’m glad you had enough of a thaw to make the roads safer!
