We had a sudden downpour of snow the other day that caught many in the middle of what became a very treacherous commute. But it melted just as quickly the next day and came out beautifully in the end…I’ll start with a spoiler end photo and then show the rest in order.
It went from nothing to this…
…at work in a mere 15 minutes
7 minutes later I was in this backup of slipping cars waiting to get to my turnoff home (see video link in post text)
My riverside looked like this when I arrived safely
The snow was still falling on our home fast and furiously
Another angle of the river when I ventured outside (see video link of falling snow in post text)
Our neighbor across the river’s house was shrouded in white that evening…
…but everything was clearer in the morning…
…except for the roads in my neighborhood.
But the melt came extremely quickly, and I made it to see this view from the Starbucks drive-thru…and then it was back to work again.
