Evening Waters

The water is high and the evening light is long and colorful. It’s beautiful along the riverside and just right for a walk.           (VIDEO HERE)

For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night. Sheri J. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.

The river is certainly full of water! I love your noisy video!

    • Yes, all the swings of temperature put snow in the mountains and then melted it all off during the heavy rain and thunderstorms the other day. The river has settled back to medium high, but it’s the best part of the wet season to have the river rushing and the lake full again. Even in mid-winter the lake was a mere pond surrounded by mudflats. I was concerned it wouldn’t return.
I’m glad you took the time to see the video. A river’s just not the same when you stop the motion and take away that sound. It’s fun to share it’s lively nature!

I agree with you about the noise of a river. I am also glad you have had enough rainfall to fill your lake. We haven’t had enough rain here and we are now drier than the Middle East!

        • I didn’t realize until I read your blog that things had been dry there. Often the UK has fairly similar weather to ours in the NW States. Our last 3 years had been very dry, but we’ve certainly made up for it this spring. We had a meme going around on Facebook about how great it was that it only rained twice this spring…once for 32 days and once for 45 days. 🙂

Hehe! I expect some people were thinking of building an ark!
I believe we are due a little rain this weekend. Not enough I’m sure, but it might mean I don’t have to water the plants! We are also told that it might get a little warmer! We have had very cold but dry northerly winds and cloudy skies so this past month has been quite dreary.

        • Yes, it’s been very cold here too. You are so right about the ark jokes. 🙂
