Covered in Snow

There’s actually been more snow since this first morning of photographs, and I’ve truly understood why the expression ‘blanket of snow’ was coined. But even in the first wave, the patterns and depth of the snowfall are intriguing. Set of six.

Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night. Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.

    • This stump photo looks almost comical to me. Now it’s buried and has 22 inches stacked on the top! And still snowing… It’s getting tough to stay positive. I do enjoy how very quiet it is. When I was sweeping off the stack of snow on the canoe and bbq this morning, the river seemed loud – no second river of I-90 sounds from the distance – and I could hear various bird songs and chips all around me. No cars at all. That part is definitely a treat.
