About sherijkennedyriverside

Left brain, right brain, I can't decide. After many years of successful visual arts pursuits, I'm working on my other creative inclinations. For the past 8 years, writing has been my second full time job, and it's worth every sleepless night. Sheri J. Kennedy grew up mostly a city-girl coasthopping from Seattle to rural Pennsylvania, Miami and back to Seattle. She currently resides on the banks of the Snoqualmie River in the scenic Cascade Mountains. Her heart has found its home.

    • This was taken on a new loop trail we walked about 3 or 4 weeks ago. It’s likely closed now temporarily, but was a nice local find, and we’ll definitely return. That day was supposed to be rainy, so the park was sparsely populated and we had the trail to ourselves. We planned only a drive but the weather cleared, as you can see. Be well, my friend!

      • We have lots of trails around my home, but they’re mostly on timberland, so we need to get permits. Errg. I hope you get out there again with the spring weather!

        • I want to at least take a drive out there tomorrow. It’s a state park area now, so I’m concerned they will have closed the main gate. But if we’re lucky they’ll only have closed the individual gates to the large and popular trails. Overuse of those in the first 2 weeks of Stay at Home order caused closures. Everyone from the city came flooding out here like it was a holiday event! If we can’t go there then we know other local trails we can ride bikes and walk on. Those don’t have gates at all, and they are plenty wide so we can pass others with good distance if we do meet up with anyone. 🙂 Hopefully you can find somewhere peaceful to get out to. I’m looking for enough warmth to sit out in the yard. It was snowing this morning! (not sticking though…don’t worry! 🙂 )

The tenderness here is palpable. Early spring is the best, isn’t it?
