About

Sheri J Kennedy Riverside posts images both literary and visual.  Riverside, like Fireside, evokes a peaceful place which is the abiding spirit of this blog.  However, like wildfire the river too can rage.  A river is ever-changing and the remarkable thing about living Riverside is your home is constant, but the landscape constantly shifts.  The shore is a moment in time.  Life drifts, flows or rushes in torrents from it’s future upstream to the stony-sandy banks of the present and then wanders, runs or flies away to futures beyond – only to be pondered as experience past.   The glories and terrors of the river forever come, are known, and move on.

I hope you enjoy the photos, artwork, experiences, observations and writing I share here. In addition to these snippets I write novels and short stories and lead a co-op of indie authors that also spotlights guest authors. My speculative novels are FEELING HUMANLIKENESS -They are Reality with a Twist Books. I’ve also written a steam era time travel adventure THE UNWITTING JOURNEYS OF THE WITTY MISS LIVINGSTONE, from the Miss LiV Adventures series, and an epic fantasy novel, SECRET ORDER OF THE OVERWORLD under pen name KENNEDY J. QUINN. I recently edited and produced an Anthology for eight writers, FREE-FLOWING STORIES, and my author’s group is FREEVALLEY PUBLISHING. You can also find FVP on Facebook. Some of my friends and I participate in The Sketchbook Project, and you can find our work and samplings of other sketchbooks from tour exhibits at SNOBOOT SKETCHCATS.

  5. No, I actually live by the side of a river. 🙂 I’m in North Bend, WA in a neighborhood called Riverbend. Finally moved out of the city. Love visiting CA though. I’ve been to San Diego quite a few years ago. Like San Fran as a destination too.
