March 12/16 is Just Ducky

One of the good things about the recent rains is the abundance of ducks that are taking advantage of the full waterways. Along the trail west of town today I spotted this pair of hooded mergansers and had fun catching them as they left with the others on the pond…ducks in a row.

I’m naming each day this year to remember that each is unique. Today is: Just Ducky

  1. Love it! Last year a duck decided our swimming pool was his personal oasis – it was really cute. But it got even cuter when one day he brought a female duck with him to swim around. They sat in the sun lounging on the deck. Very sweet.
