The ideal spot for a picnic out on a wide rock in the river, and a dipper bird entertains with its bounce and fearless diving into the icy stream.

  1. Just the type of stream I like – strewn with boulders hinting at the danger of flash floods, chartreuse sunshine warming the rocks and animating the pebble-lined pools, the smell of pine sap, the tinkling water … Now i must go and see what else your dipper bird adds to the scene!
